In North Zealand, a large project to restore Søborg Sø is undergoing. An area of approximately 338 hectares (3.4 square kilometers) that had previously been drained to provide agricultural land, is being allowed to become a lake again in a 600-hectare project area. It is a multi-year project, but two photos I took from the same location a year apart, shows how a path in the area is disappearing as the water slowly returns. The two photos were taken on April 23rd 2025 and on April 30th 2026.

This little corner of the project area may not say that much about Søborg Sø and the project in in general, but the two photos was a great opportunity to try out the new compare-images web component that I have created 😊
