Goggle har startet en interessant ny service: Google News. Det er en robot-baseret service som skanner alverdens nyhedssites og automatisk samler historier om samme emne, og fremhæver de emner der skrives mest om. Det fungerer glimrende, men lyder som noget der i Danmark kunne skaffe dem en retssag på halsen (jvf. sidste tids retsager om "dybe links" til nyhedssites). Google News er et interessant værktøj, der kan være en hjælp til at skaffe mange forskellige synsvinkler på nyhed. Tag f.eks. den aktuelle sag med terror og Tjetjenien. Ikke bare kan man se de mange store internationale nyhedsmediers dækning af sagen, det tog mig heller ikke mange sekunder at finde en flere russiske (engelsksprogede) mediers synsvinkel.
